Western Counties Young Liberals
Who are we?
We are the youth and student wing of the Liberal Democrats - we exist to campaign on issues affecting young people and students, with branches across the UK.
We campaign for young people and issues that are important to us, including the climate, LGBTQ+ rights, mental health, cost of living & housing.
We work hard to represent the interests of young people within, and outside of, the Liberal Democrats. From helping make policy on issues that matter to young people, to helping our members progress within in the Party with training, support and networking - we're here to help young people and students. We are active and hoping to expand our Young Liberals events and membership in 2026!

Chair
Maisie Kiff is the Western Counties Regional Chair of the Young Liberals and Youth Officer for Mid Dorset and North Poole Liberal Democrats. She is committed to supporting young people to engage with politics and ensuring that youth voices are represented within the party. She has experience supporting election campaigns and organising Young Liberal and constituency events across the region, and is always keen to make political involvement accessible, welcoming, and enjoyable.
